Soon after creating Sesame Street, the show’s producers developed what came to be called “the CTW model”.  Short for Children’s Television Workshop, they used planning, production, and evaluation, along with educational goals and a curriculum to shape its content.

Sesame Street has won numerous awards, and is co-produced independently in numerous countries and languages around the world.  95 percent f American children are familiar with the show by the time they reach pre-school and the show has produced a number of memorable characters such as Elmo, Bert and Ernie and Big Bird.

Adidas is the largest sports wear manufacturer in Europe and the second-largest in the world, (second to Nike).

Adolf “Adi” Dassler founded Adidas in 1948 by, following the division of a shoe manufacturing company (Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik) between himself and his older brother.  Rudolf went on to establish Puma, an early rival of Adidas. Registered in 1949, Adidas is currently based in Herzogenaurach, Germany, along with Puma.

Adidas’s brand features three parallel bars, a design that was acquired from a Finnish firm,  Karhu Sports.  Adidas has annual revenue around 10 Billion Euros.

Twitter was created by Jack Dorsey and launched in July in 2006.  Twitter has quickly become popular, reporting over 300 million users as of 2011, generating over 300 million tweets and handling over 1.6 billion search queries per day.  It is sometimes described as “the SMS of the Internet.”
